Last time I wrote here I said what a great start to the year I had. I really did too. January went great. Towards the middle of the month I had a really good nine miles, then a couple of weeks later a good ten miles, which I actually extended to eleven running an extra mile with my wife. I had a bit of a cold but was just about ok.
Then February happened. I hurt my foot playing basketball and it’s not been right since. Seems like a type of plantar fascitis so it’s something that can at least be managed.
I’ve still been running but the volume has been well down. With less than three weeks left until the Reading Half and being away this weekend, I suspect the 11 miler in January will be my longest training run. Not ideal preparation by a long shot but it’ll have to do.
